Diet to Go is a diet delivery program in which you have all of your meals delivered to your door weekly and you heat them up. You can choose two meals per day or three meals per day and 1200 calories per day or 1600 calories per day.
I used Diet to Go about a year ago and wrote about my Diet to Go Journey in my own blog, so you will find more in depth info on Diet to Go here.
Diet to Go wasn't a perfect solution for me as I still found myself hungry and did not lose that much weight. It was, however, extremely convenient and great for someone on the go. I also found some of their food to be really delicious.
If you're interested in signing up for Diet to Go, you can go here.

Beachbody's P90X
For my first post, I thought I'd start with one of the most popular and intense workout regimes that promises big results--P90X. P90X is an intense exercise system on DVD by Beachbody that promises to change your body in 90 days if you use their DVDs and follow their nutrition program. The Internet is littered with P90X before & after pics, but the biggest question is--does it work?!
I purchased P90X a few years ago. When I first went to use it, the apartment I lived in was too small for me to adequately perform the exercises on the DVDs, so I had to wait until I moved to try them again.
I am now somewhere where I have enough space to use my P90X and have tried to get in the P90X routine. There are few problems with P90X:
- It is intense! Of course, it's meant to be. But if you haven't worked out in a long time, it's tough on day 2 to do DVD #2 when your muscles are so sore you can barely walk.
- The workouts are long! Each workout is about an hour, with the Ab Ripper being thrown in some days to make the workouts close to 90 minutes. If you work long hours like I do, you often don't have time to come home after work and squeeze in a 60-90 minute work out--and make a healthy dinner--and get whatever chores you need to do around the house done--and relax--and spend time with loved ones, etc... P90X is a huge commitment and for that reason it is probably best suited for those who do not have a full time job.
- It's an everyday program. To get the promised results, you are supposed to use P90X everyday. I frequently travel on weekends and am not near a DVD player and able to do P90X everyday, so again, it makes it hard to follow the system to the letter if you have a busy schedule.
Is P90X worth it? To give an honest answer, I don't know. P90X is very expensive, although you can try to find it for better rates on eBay or Amazon.
I would say if you're already in decent shape and want to push yourself and your body to the next level--it's worth it. Alternatively, if you want to transform your body and have the time/dedication to push through, then you should also get it.
If you think P90X is for you, you can get started by buying the complete system (DVDs, nutrition guide, resistance bands, chin-up bar, and more!) here.
